Our Idea

    There is a problem with the way reading is tracked at CPMS (middle school). The school has been using, for the last fifteen years, a system called Accelerated Reader (AR). The AR system uses a series of points and book levels assigned to each book on the school's list of available tests. This system excludes newly published books, unless some good person buys the two dollar test to add to the school's list of available tests. On this blog a few others and I will be posting our views and others views of the use of the AR system. Please feel free to share your  thoughts and comments of the AR system in our comment section.
